Can you introduce your organisation and share the core belief or spark that drives your work in supporting mental and emotional health?
I: I’m a Social Changemaker, Coach, and Diversity & Inclusion advocate who has been based in Hong Kong for the past two decades. My work spans recruitment, career coaching, and social innovation, all driven by a core belief in empowering individuals and fostering inclusive communities.
Innerview reflects my holistic approach to well-being, integrating physical, mental, and spiritual health. Through wellness coaching, we offer health guidance, mentorship, and community support, using tools such as inclusive yoga, positive psychology, and reflective practices like tarot coaching. Our goal is to help clients cultivate sustainable lifestyle changes that enhance emotional and mental well-being.
What really drives me is this belief that when people feel supported, seen, and encouraged to grow and shine from within, they begin to unlock something powerful — and that inner change often ripples outward, touching others and strengthening the communities around them.
D: Deep Soul Management Heritage is an innovative enterprise built around the concept of spiritual inheritance. We developed the Deep Soul App, a mobile platform that integrates mental wellness, emotional journaling, and life management. It helps people express and reflect on their emotions, engage with AI for gentle guidance, and preserve meaningful memories — allowing every individual to explore their authentic self, heal emotionally, and leave behind a legacy of love and values for their families.
The inspiration behind this idea came from my over twenty years of experience in financial planning. While helping clients manage their estates, I noticed that beyond wealth, many people wished to pass on something deeper — their beliefs, life experiences, and family values — yet lacked a safe and meaningful way to do so.
A turning point came when I attended a “Future Funeral” workshop. It made me realize that at the end of life, what people truly long for is not the continuation of wealth, but the continuation of understanding, connection, and love. I came to believe that emotional and spiritual inheritance is far more powerful than material inheritance.
This realisation became the seed of Deep Soul — a mission to help every individual “Unlock the Heart and Pass on the True Self.” Through Deep Soul, I hope people can record their stories, reconcile with their emotions, and find peace in knowing that their love and essence will continue to inspire future generations.

In a fast-paced city like Hong Kong, how do you help people carve out space for emotional healing, and what small step can anyone take today to begin?
I: We rush from one thing to another, constantly reacting to what’s happening around us, without giving ourselves the space to pause or process. Over time, that can easily lead to stress and emotional exhaustion.
One simple step anyone can take today is to bring a bit more awareness into daily life — just taking a moment to breathe and notice how you’re feeling. That small act of mindfulness can make a big difference.
For me, yoga has been a very powerful tool in helping people reconnect with themselves. I teach inclusive, or adaptive, yoga that’s open to all levels and abilities. In Hong Kong, yoga is often seen mainly as a physical practice — focused on postures and flexibility — and while movement is important for our health, I like to take it a step further. My approach incorporates breath work, sound healing, and deep relaxation practices like yin yoga and yoga therapy. These help bring people back to a calm, centered state of mind and create a sense of unity between body, mind, and spirit.
It’s really about giving ourselves permission to slow down — even for just a few minutes a day — and remembering that healing often starts with awareness and stillness.
D: Life in Hong Kong moves fast, and many people have forgotten how to feel. The Deep Soul App was created to help users “reserve a quiet corner for themselves” amid their busy lives. Through the feature My Life Stories, users can record their emotions and life experiences in words, voice, or images, reflect on their journey, and receive gentle, AI-powered emotional feedback and support. Meanwhile, the Legacy Planning function allows users to make early arrangements for end-of-life matters, helping to reduce fear, anxiety, and regret for both themselves and their loved ones.
If there is one simple step that anyone can begin today, it would be this: take two minutes each day to write down one honest sentence about how you truly feel. Whether it’s joy, disappointment, or exhaustion — the moment you start listening to your own heart, you’ve already taken the first step toward healing.
Psychological research also supports this. American psychologist James W. Pennebaker found that “writing about emotional experiences helps integrate thoughts and feelings, leading to significant improvements in both mental and physical health.” That is the power we hope the Deep Soul App can bring to everyone — to reconnect with their inner self through awareness and expression, and to make healing a part of everyday life.
What’s one surprising lesson you’ve learnt about mental health through your work, and how has it reshaped the way you connect with your audience?
I: There was one class I’ll never forget — I was teaching inclusive yoga to a group of wheelchair users and their caregivers. I had spent a lot of time preparing, planning different poses and props to make the session engaging and accessible. But once I met the group, I could immediately sense that what they needed most wasn’t a full sequence of movements. What they really needed was simply a space to rest, to breathe, and to just be.
So I shifted the plan. Instead of many poses, I guided them through gentle belly breathing and extended the final resting pose, savasana, allowing more time for stillness, silence, and deep relaxation. In that quiet space, something beautiful happened — you could feel the calm, the connection, and the mutual support among everyone in the room.
That experience reminds me that supporting mental health isn’t always about doing more — Often, less is truly more when it comes to mental health and healing. it’s about creating a safe space for people to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and feel seen and supported. It completely reshaped how I approach my classes and my audience — I’ve learned to listen beyond words and respond to the energy and emotional needs in the moment.
D: The original intention behind designing Deep Soul was to create a personal life archive — a platform that could carry an individual’s emotions, memories, and values, and be passed on across generations. From day one, I’ve been deeply committed to building a safe and private space where users can pour out their most authentic inner world without fear or judgment.
However, after the MVP launch, I received valuable feedback from users who suggested adding a “private interaction” feature. They wished not only to express their feelings and record their memories, but also to receive real-time, one-on-one emotional responses and understanding. This insight moved me deeply — it reaffirmed that true emotional healing doesn’t come from expression alone, but from being seen and understood.
As the psychologist Donald Winnicott once said, “It is only when a person’s feelings are genuinely mirrored and responded to by another that they feel truly seen and accepted.” This reflection reshaped how I see Deep Soul’s role — not merely as a platform for emotional release and reflection, but as a gentle listener. We hope to provide a space where every user can feel acknowledged, comforted, and understood — and through that connection, begin to heal.

How has partnering with Dream Impact amplified your ability to create positive change in mental and emotional wellbeing within the Hong Kong community?
I: Partnering with Dream Impact has been such an inspiring experience because it’s connected me with a community of like-minded social changemakers who share the same values and passion for promoting mental and emotional well-being in Hong Kong. There’s something really powerful about being surrounded by people who are all working toward the same goal — it creates this ripple effect of support, collaboration, and new ideas.
One moment that really stood out to me was when Dream Impact invited me to take part in a Human Library session during a youth empowerment event. I was there to share my entrepreneurial journey, and what touched me most was discovering that among the audience were students and young advocates with special educational needs who were themselves championing diversity and inclusion. Seeing that energy and awareness in the younger generation was incredibly uplifting — it’s exactly the kind of civic mindset we hope to nurture.
That experience reminded me how partnerships like this can amplify individual efforts into something much broader and more sustainable — planting those “good seeds” of empathy, inclusion, and awareness that continue to grow and create lasting impact over time.
D: Every day at Dream Impact reminds me of the warmth and humanity that this place embodies. Every person here — whether it’s Keith, Uncle Shu, or Auntie Yuk who quietly keeps the space clean — brings genuine care and kindness to this co-working community. It’s more than just a workplace; it’s a space filled with positive energy and compassion, where people and ideas truly connect.
Dream Impact not only provides us with an inspiring and comfortable environment, but also organizes various talks and networking events that allow me to meet social innovators from diverse fields. These opportunities to exchange ideas have sparked many meaningful collaborations. Looking ahead, I hope Dream Impact can continue helping Deep Soul connect with more organizations dedicated to mental and emotional wellness. Together, we can co-host workshops and experiential events on topics such as Legacy Planning and Emotional Healing, bringing the Deep Soul philosophy beyond the screen and into real communities.
For example, in our collaborative talk “Cherishing Our Loved Ones,” we invited participants to reflect on how to live kindly in the present and say goodbye with dignity. Such cross-sector collaborations not only deepen Deep Soul’s mission, but also show that mental health and spiritual inheritance are, in truth, two paths leading toward the same destination — a more compassionate and fulfilling life.
Now, this very feature from Dream Impact offers another opportunity to share our vision with the world — helping more people understand what Deep Soul stands for, and empowering us to continue promoting emotional and mental wellbeing. This connection and support mean a great deal to me. It reaffirms that we are walking a path that is not only purposeful, but full of warmth and hope.

Looking to the future, what’s one bold vision you have for transforming how mental health is perceived/supported, and how are you working towards it?
I: Looking ahead, my bold vision is for mental health to be embraced as a shared responsibility — something that every part of society collectively supports. I hope to see all stakeholders, from government bodies and businesses to schools, NGOs, and community groups, working hand in hand to foster greater awareness and make mental health resources accessible to everyone.
In an ideal future, support like inclusive yoga, counseling, or therapy wouldn’t be seen as luxuries, but as essentials — affordable, approachable, and available to all, especially for underprivileged and vulnerable communities.
Through Innerview, we’re already taking small but meaningful steps toward that vision. We’ve been collaborating with local NGOs to offer inclusive yoga classes and mindfulness workshops for people with disabilities, SEN individuals, and caregivers. And we’re now expanding to reach other groups in need, including seniors, single mothers, youth, and ethnic minorities.
The dream is to build a more compassionate and supportive city — one where mental and emotional well-being are woven into the fabric of everyday life, not as an afterthought, but as a foundation for everyone to shine.
D: My greatest vision is to make mental health no longer something fragile or hidden, but a natural and accepted part of everyday life.
The vision of Deep Soul is “Inheriting through Technology, Continuing the Deep Spirit,” and our mission is to “Connect the Past, Inspire the Future.”
We believe that true healing is not merely about soothing emotions — it is about helping people rediscover the meaning of life, learn to face loss with peace, and find continuity and purpose within the finite nature of existence.
My boldest dream is to make it so that death is no longer like a light being extinguished — to help humanity see that death is not an end, but a continuation. When people can face mortality with calmness, and learn to heal the pain and fear that loss brings, the value and connection of life can transcend time and physical boundaries.
At Deep Soul, we aim to use technology as a bridge, integrating human warmth into the digital world. We are continuously enhancing the AI Emotional Support and LifeLine features within the Deep Soul App, allowing the system to better understand users’ emotional patterns and offer gentle, compassionate guidance. At the same time, we are developing a Web3-based “Spiritual Asset Inheritance System” — enabling users to securely preserve and pass down their emotions, beliefs, and life stories as a legacy that future generations can truly feel and understand.
My focus is to ensure every user has access to a simple, secure, and user-friendly platform where they can express, heal, and record their lives freely. Because I believe that when people understand that spiritual continuity is just as important as emotional wellbeing, society as a whole becomes softer, stronger, and more compassionate.
Deep Soul aspires to be the catalyst for this transformation — using technology to connect hearts and authenticity to awaken souls — so that every individual can “Unlock the Heart and Pass on the True Self.” From self-healing to inspiring others, we hope love and understanding will continue to flow endlessly between generations.
